b.)       You are a man older than age 45 or a woman older than age 50.

c.)       Your HDL cholesterol is lower than 40 mg/dL.

Answer:  If you’ve answered “D” (All of the above) you are correct!!

You can lower your risk factors by getting your cholesterol checked regularly.

 

Other ways to help keep cholesterol in check include:

  •   Ensuring a healthy diet- low in saturated/trans fats and high in fiber
  •   Engaging in regular physical activity
  •   Maintaining a healthy weight
  •   If you smoke, consider quitting as soon as possible
